What is Burlesque?

Early Burlesque had it’s roots in comedy which then morphed into vaudeville and striptease. The Neo Burlesque movement in the 1990’s introduced a plethora of performers including Dita Von Tees and introduced this once popular entertainment to the modern generation.

A great fitness workout!

Burlesque is a great fitness workout and an all round body toner. You will achieve better balance and posture, strengthen the back and the muscles of the pelvic floor, tone thighs, glutes, hips, abs, work out the core muscles and improve your flexibility. Burlesque grinds are highly effective in targeting mid torso belly flab. After the class you will feel empowered, confident and be ready to conquer the world!

Who will be teaching?

Maree specialises in teaching sensual burlesque dance styles in Melbourne and has performed as a Burlesque Artist. She has taught hundreds of women about sensuality, confidence, and empowerment and is highly adept at teaching women of all ages how to tap into their feminine energy.
